a love story with tragic end is often liked by readers,

its about creating interest by you can create lots of tragedies but remember don't forget to make it a happy ending.

its all about emotions..

and in a love stories there are so many emotions:)

and you can also insert some unearthly things like some creature from some other planet like that stuffs:)

hope this helps:)

don't go for tragic ending.it will be too heavy to read.

go for the former one or some story highlighting a cause.

light reading won't give you any prize though.

i will give you some ideas if i get any.

good luck

Go for an ending that is a cliffhanger, they are always the best, but the hardest to do. It is like the saying goes the best is always the hardest, it is like getting an A* in GCSE that is the hardest, you get the picture?

Anyway, the story should be about one male, one female that are not aloud to be with each other but want to, they will do anything they can possibly do to get together, like run away to another country, say they are in England they could run away to Los Angeles- America.

At the very end of the story both of their parents take them back to England and they can never see each other ever again, all that running and loving was all for nothing. They both wave a good bye to each other, that is the very last time they ever see each other.

what is a short story? Short stories can be anything from 500 to 6000 words. Anything under 500 words tends to be labelled ‘flash fiction’ or ‘micro fiction’ (although some would argue it’s still a short story) and anything over 6000 is moving into novelette or novella territory. I would argue that a short story is something that can be read comfortably in one sitting and doesn’t leave you starving or bloated. Popular magazines tend to accept work of between 1000 – 2000 words. Continued...

What my options would be if I were you:

1. Funny story. A science fiction short story would be perfect because you can write anything you want, especially is the place of action is another planet, with strange and funny creatures.

2. Funny story. Not science fiction this time. A short story telling about a young boy who wants to help people, but instead creates a lot of trouble. Like Denis the menace, for example.

3. A love story, but not an usual one. I would like to write about a bird who is in love with a tree, for example. Something totally unusual and moving. The tree is due to be cut down, and the bird stays with it even though the heavy winter is coming and the bird should fly south. In the end, the bird dies from cold. As the bird is falling to the ground, people with chainsaws walk towards the tree.

Anyway, whatever you write, just follow these rules:

1. Do not use capital letters in the middle of a sentence, unless the words represent proper names.

2. Always start a new sentence with capital letter.

3. Do not forget to end a sentence with a full stop or any other necessary punctuation sign.

4. Don't underestimate the importance of a comma. Learn how to use it.

Good luck!
