Okay, so which series do you like best:
Harry Potter - by JK Rowling
Twilight- by Stephanie Meyer
The Hunger Games- by Suzanne Collins

Personally, I think The Hunger Games is best.

Harry Potter > Hunger Games

I'm sorry, WHY IS TWILIGHT even being COMPARED to the two?! Why?! Dude, saying that the sun is purple makes more sense than that.

I'm just going to ignore the presence of Twilight in the same category as Harry Potter.

On the face level - reading it only for fun, you really can't say now can you? I mean, they're all so different, it's like saying "hey, which is better? Pizza or ice cream?" I mean, unless you don't like ice cream you really can't answer that question! So on face level, they tie really (aside from Twilight. Quality does matter.)

But on a more literary level, Harry Potter wins. Because Harry Potter isn't just a story. There are so many lessons held within its pages; so many times where you stop and think about something you never really gave a thought to; so many things hidden inside that if you'd just read a little deeper, you'd find and it suddenly would mean the world to you. Hunger Games, while a great book, didn't really do that for me. It was JUST a book; just a story, albeit a great one and very unique/very enjoyable, I didn't feel like it really meant anything to me.

So, I choose the book with its own personal Yoda. Harry Potter is my favorite. Always has been. Always will be.

My answer is Harry Potter simply because of the genius that was applied to putting and entire world together like that. With names for everything and every character unique, even the ones that only speak once or twice. The Hunger Games may be a great series, but it's not nearly as wonderful as Harry Potter. It's not nearly as imaginative (yes, it's creative but not IMAGINATIVE) as Harry Potter. It's very much the same as most post-apocalyptic or futuristic storylines, and tournaments such as those have already been invented time and again by Ancient Romans, J.K. Rowling, R.L. Stine, and many many others. To me, The Hunger Games was just bits and pieces of other storylines and plots all jumbled up together to make an original idea. But, to me, the world of Harry Potter was totally new and mind-blowing.

And Twilight? That required no imagination whatso-freaking-ever. I could write a stronger, more intriguing story about the cat that ran away when I was three. In my opinion, Twilight is not decent literature and I sincerely hope we never add that series to the list of classics, along with Charles Dickens and so on. It's not literature, it's fanfiction.

Harry Potter. Though the overall plot was simple, the execution of it was so intricate and detailed that the other two series cannot compare. The characters were three dimensional and well rounded, the world was so real yet fantastical. I can't think of a series that I would compare to Harry Potter. Not to mention, J.K. Rowling put so much research into it that you have to respect her for both her imagination and the work she put into every last detail of the series.

I also love the Hunger Games. It is a great series but like I said, there's nothing I would compare to Harry Potter.

Twilight is nowhere close to these two series. Instead of researching information and putting in the work, the author simply wrote an entire dull series that was based on a dream. Not to mention the plot was so petty in comparison to the Hunger Games and Harry Potter, where the characters' goals encompassed the future of their entire society and not whether they got to be with a boyfriend/girlfriend or not.

In my opinion Harry Potter is the best series out of the three, but that is just my opinion.

Some people may like The Hunger Games more and some people may like Twilight more. It all depends on the persons perspective. I honestly do not understand why so many people take the time to say how bad Twilight is or seperating the characters into teams like Team Gale and Team Peeta or Team Edward and Team Jacob. These books were not made to compete against each other for who is the best. They were made for the pleasue of reading and nothing more.

Personally, I don't like Twilight. I'm not saying it's a bad book. I'm just saying it doesn't suit me. I'm more of a Fantasy fan than anything else which is why I like Harry Potter. I also like the Hunger Games and I can't wait to watch the movie when it comes out. But seriously I don't understand why everyone makes such as fuss about a fiction story and about people who don't exist in reality.

So everyone who constantly says Twilight suck or are mourning over the fact that Harry Potters over and all that crap please Shut the F*** Up.

Please excuse my language, but somebody needed to finally come out and say it.

I've read all three series and I like all three ('OMG YOU LIKE TWILIGHT? WHY?' because I do get over yourself) but all of them have good and bad qualities to them

Harry Potter: AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING the only thing that I could say is a 'bad' quality is that there are seven books all of them are long so if it is your first time reading them you may feel like it takes a while but once you read the series ten times like I have it feels a bit faster.

Twilight: I have read the series four or five times because I like the books, and let me clear one thing up, I like the books not the movies, I didn't read the books because I heard there were two hot guys who take their shirts off in the movies, and I honest to god cannot stand kristin stewart. But I like the books the bad thing about the series is that its based off of fantasy (which some people like and others don't) and has a bad rep so people may judge you if your reading it.

The Hunger Games: I love love love this series however each book is a different style from the others and focus on different things (1 is more based on adventure 2 the first part is more romance based and the end of 2 and all of 3 are action/war based) and I prefer consistency in the themes of series.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins book down for a second after the first few pages got me completely hooked. Suzanne Collins narrative here has an immediacy to it that, when combined with the very dramatic life-or-death plot, is incredibly compelling. It's entertaining, and incredibly disturbing all at once. If this was merely a good read, I would have given it 4 stars, but they say great art leaves you changed after you experience it... and this book definitely did that. Suzanne Collins has, with one amazing work, propelled herself onto my top shelf.

I liked Harry Potter better than Twilight, it has more interesting characters, more humour, a betger plot etc. I didn't dislike Twilight though. I haven't read The Hunger Games.

Harry Potter. Twilight sucks, and Hunger Games isn't all that great. Poorly written, and the last was definitely rushed. But I still enjoyed the story.

Not Twilight. Take it off the list. Now.

Other then that... ehh... Harry Potter and the Hunger Games (HP and HG, haha) are probably about evenly matched. I think HG tops HP by a bit, though. Why? Because, ever notice the LAGGING in the HP series? Just chapters of slow moving, and while I loved reading it, HG was faster paced and not as 'messy', if that makes sense. The whole thing keeps you griped (I didn't sleep for three days!!!) HP, however, gives you time to sleep.

If you can make out any of that, you get a cookie.

Definitely Harry Potter, it has been a great series, and a lot of people still read the books.

Twilight isn't that great, mostly because of Bella.

Harry Potter..Bunch of events, it didn't have a complicated plot and yet it was enjoyable.

Twilight has absolutely HORRIBLE writing. The plot though was okay though, probably the thing that got people's attention. Really, it wasn't that bad, the plot. =/

Hunger Games is better and pretty fun for light reading but it was just short. Sometimes the events they threw at me sounded like it would be like an 'OMG' kind of situation but I personally didn't like them nor was I surprised..Like when a character *who I shall not name* dies it doesn't give me a heard wrenching feeling and just makes me think, 'oh, gol'darn, that really sucks!'

But it's really good for a quick read for pleasure I guess

...... HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!!!! Is that a joke? Because it's funny as hell!!!!

How could you EVER put HG-no, the Hunger Games, it's not good enough for initials- and the other one-(not even good enough for a title) on the same playing field as Harry Potter?(too cool for initials). Do you have psychological damage? Have you suffered a recent concussion?

Hunger Games all the way.

Harry Potter (ROCKS but...) and Twilight are all magicaly, and they don't exactly teach you something in life. Magic and vampires will never actually happen.

Hunger Games is a realistic novel, which tells us what might happen to the world one day and IT IS POSSIBLE for something like this to happen. It makes us all more aware about the world around us. It taught me that in life, you need to be strong for yourself and others you love. It teaches, trust, love, and it's basically all the things in life you are supposed to learn molded in one:)

I honestly think Hunger Games is great, yet Harry Potter and Twilight are good, but Hunger Games has more meaning to it.

HUNGER GAMES!! Mostly because along with all the love and war and whatever there are so many little things that could teach us lessons behind it I.e. heartthrob falls for mad girl back home, (Finnick and Annie my favorite couple by FAR) or the way katniss fights so hard to keep her family alive

Wonky wizards, vapid vampires, whingy werewolves, post-apocalyptic dystopia, none of them is best.
