I study an staggering e book a pair of years in the past that i could no longer placed down! i do no longer submit to in recommendations the author, however the identify is "Flags of Our Fathers"--like the action picture directed by Clint Eastwood with reference to the warriors who placed the yank flag up on Mt. Suribachi over the Island of Iwo Jima for the duration of international warfare II. The writing replaced into so nicely completed and the tale replaced into gripping. i could no longer placed the e book down. It replaced into the best e book I even have ever study, palms down!

you absolutely must read some tom robbins. 'still life with woodpecker' if you like a little romance and adventure, 'even cowgirls get the blues' if you want a wild ride through modern consciousness, or 'jitterbug perfume' if you'd like a dense epic that elucidates the meaning of being alive.

still life with woodpecker is the simplest, if you like to start simple and work your way up.

Deadline by Chris Crutcher. It about a guy who has a disease and denies treatment. It's very sad but openly honest.

Just Listen and This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen. They're about cute love and both very funny.

Red Glass by Laura Resau.

Beastly by Alex Flinn. A modern rewrite of Beauty and the Beast.

Well this is kind of tough since I don't know what kind of books you like, but it sounds like you would enjoy 'The Texan' by Joan Johnston, which is about some stolen nerve gas mines and the two main characters go looking for them in the West Texas wilderness. It's got some good action, great characters, but there is some romance. I don't know if you care but if you do, that's the only bad thing about this book. Another book would be 'Dead Aim' by Iris Johansen. It's a suspense novel. I can't tell you a whole lot about it though since I havn't read it in a while, but I remember that it was absolutely superb!

Hope I helped!

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss is the book that you're looking for. It's soooo interesting. It's probably one of the best books that I've ever read. It's a book about this hero called Kvothe and his retelling of all the things that have happened to him and what he's done to a famous travel ling scribe. It's really an awesome book, you just HAVE to read it.

It's hard to say unless you give some info about yourself, male or female, and a general age but my favorite book in the last 10 years is a series - the 'Master and Commander' series also called the Aubrey/Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian. I discovered them when I saw the movie and just had to read 'the book', not then realizing that there were 20 of them (and an unfinished 21st). They might seem to be all military (British Navy of the late 1800's) but they are so complex with personal info of the two lead characters, foibles on land as well as at sea, their love lives, etc. And they are so WELL-WRITTEN that I think they are AMAZING which was your request. My favorite book of all time is 'Gone With the Wind' by Margaret Mitchell though.

I personally suggest reading the Luxe series, it is the perfect book. This book has lots of plots and twists I would highly recommend it.

I like "yakuza moon", its based on a true story. Author explains how her life was as the daughter of a yakuza lord was like along with the drug sex n self recovery was. And "memoirs of a geisha", the movie misses a lot of the good details.
