Fantasy:

Neil Gaiman is an amazing author! Any of his books are good. Try Neverwhere, Stardust, or Coraline.



Any books by Scott Westerfeld or Neal Shusterman are really good too.



Any books by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes are amazing! There is In The Forest of The Night, Demon In My View, Shattered Mirror, Midnight Predator. And then there is the The Kiesha'ra series: Hawksong, Snakecharm, Falcondance, Wolfcry and Wyverhail.



Abarat by Clive Barker. Make sure you get the hardcover version though!!! If you liked the first one be sure to check out the next book in the series Abarat: Days of Magic, Nights of War.

I can't say I have heard of all of those books to be honest.

But Alex Rider books are amazing! Try a bit of James Bond, similar theme more of a classic.

Also you might like the gossip girl books (I haven't actually read them, but they are meant to be good and it sounds like the sort of thing you might like)

If you like Tamora Pierce and fantasy kind of thing, maybe try C.S.Lewis or Terri Prachett and also Philip Pullman is a must-read if you haven't read any of his books they are amazing.

Oh and read 'I Capture The Castle' by Dodie Smith - it's great I think you'll like it.
