Question:
Harry Potter 7 Epilogue questions *Spoliers*?
2007-07-27 14:57:20 UTC
Rowling never mentioned if Harry Ron or Hermione ever finished their 7th year... they could have after the war ended. Also she never mentioned their professions... Ginny neither. Only Neville. I am surprised the Dursley's weren't mentioned, I thought Harry might have seen them again. Never mentioned where Teddy was raised... so many burning questions I have for JKR!! But the epilogue did show their children which made me happy.

In a recent interview, JKR states that Harry and Ron are Aurors, Hermione is a Wizard Lawyer . . . no mention of a 7th year but does it really matter? Teddy was presumably raised by his grandmother, Andromeda, because Harry's kids asked if Teddy could live with them, which indicates that he didn't live with them previously. I don't have the link, but on MSN.com you can find the video clip of JKR's interview with Meredith Vierra, which gives a lot of good info that was left out of the epilogue.

In an interview she said that Harry and Ron were Aurors and that Hermione is high up in the Department of Something (I want to say Law Enforcement?) But the interview is on the MSNBC website. Its part 1

Harry and Ron recreate the ministry and are the head of the auror department office. Hermioney is the head of magical law enforcement. The three go back to Hogwarts to have talks in Defense against the Dark Arts. I found this out from links on mugglenet.

well about the professions, she answered that in some interview. harry & ron & hermione are all working at the ministry of magic...harry & ron are top aurors and hermione is in dept.of muggles or something like that

The epilouge was good i guess, but i HATED that ron and hermione got together.i would have preferred it as harry and hermione.

i was shocked when she didnt mention the dursleys, i thought harry wouldve seen them again.

overall,the epilouge was good,though.

i wasn't happy with the epilgue. next time i read it i'll skip that part and make up my own. i did like the part about Teddy I would have thought that Harry had a larg part in it. and that harry still had the watch
