Haha! I love questions like these, as those are some of my favorite books. I'll try to answer adequately. "The Chronicles of Prydain" by Lloyd Alexander. Incredible series, quite old, though, so you might have some trouble finding the first four. I think almost every library has the fifth (and final) installment: "The High King". The whole series: "The Book of Three" "The Black Cauldron" "The Castle of Llyr" "Taran Wanderer" "The High King" There aren't any elves, but there are dwarves. :D T. A. Barron has some magnificant teen fantasy, my favorites of his are: "The Ancient One" "The Lost Years of Merlin Trilogy" "The Great Tree of Avalon" Some of these are quite similiar -- in setting and such-- to both of the series you mentioned. Hilari Bell’s “Fall of a Kingdom” is the first book in the “Farsala” fantasy trilogy. The other two books are “The Rise of a Hero” and “The Forging of the Sword”…or something like that. Set in another world in a medieval time period, this trilogy is filled with great battle-scenes. It’s action-packed, and an exhilarating read. Now I know that you said elves and dwarves, but this series does have a lot of similar things, such as battles and a quest of sorts. :D "A Great and Terrible Beauty" by Libba Bray is the wonderful first book in an incredible fantasy trilogy. The trilogy is set in two worlds: Victorian England, and a place called The Realms. There is adventure, magic and romance all thrown together, and the trilogy is one of my favorites in the whole genre of fantasy. There are quite a few magical creatures and people in The Realms. Hmm...I thought there were going to be more, but I looked at my list thingy, and I realized that I read more of different kinds of fantasy...Ah, well. :D Oh, yeah, if you're older teens or something, then how about R.A. Salvatore? His books are all fantasy: elves, dwarves, etc., and quite battle-filled. There are quite graphic, though, as my mother will not read them. She claims that any page she opens the book to has someone being killed. Drawn and quartered, beheaded, stabbed, shot, etc., etc.. But they're still very, very good. Start with "The Dark Elf" trilogy if you're going to read them. Happy reading. :D
