I've always loved Harry Potter, but lately, I admit, it's become an even GREATER obsession. So I thought for fun I'd ask some questions....BEWARE SPOILERS!!

1. Be honest: What did you think of Snape the whole series, maybe your opinion changed with each book, but before book 7? Were you surprised at what you learned about him?
2. If you could bring back one character from the dead, who would it be?
3. What did you think of the epilogue?
4. What do you think of the fact that they're splitting the last movie in two?
5. What do you think Harry should have done with the Resurrection Stone? Elder Wand?
6. What surprised you most in the series?
7. Who do you think was miscast in the movies?
8. Who do you think they did the best job casting?
9. Which specific parts do you wish were put in the movies?
10. If you could ask JKR one question, what would it be?

Maybe I'll put my answers up one day...right now, I'm curious to see yours :)

1. Be honest: What did you think of Snape the whole series...In the beginning i hated Snape with such a passion i would cringe everytime he was mentioned..Very surprised at what i learned..gosh there was so much..his love for Lily, his promise to Dumbledore, always wondering if he was really loyal to Dumbledore, him being the Half Blood Prince, the list goes on.

2. If you could bring back one character from the dead, who would it be? Wow..It's a toss up between Dumbledore and Fred..Probably Fred.

3. What did you think of the epilogue? I liked it ok i thought it could have been a lot longer and a bit more informative.

4. What do you think of the fact that they're splitting the last movie in two? I was so happy when i found out maybe this time they will do the books justice..two full length movies should do the trick.

5. What do you think Harry should have done with the Resurrection Stone? Elder Wand? I agree with what he did with them both, you know Harry.... always doing the right thing.

6. What surprised you most in the series? The whole deal with Snape.. i can't believe i went from loathing a character to loving him, and being sad when he died.

7. Who do you think was miscast in the movies? miscast would have to be Ginny i think she should have been drop dead georgeous to be deserving of the boy who lived.(sorry Ginny fans)

8. Who do you think they did the best job casting? Snape!!!

9. Which specific parts do you wish were put in the movies? The part in the Ministry when the "brain thing" attacked Ron... lol i laughed so hard reading it, and then the disappointment when it wasn't in the movie was aggravating.

10. If you could ask JKR one question, what would it be? When can we expect the Encyclopedia to come out?

Great questions!!

1. At first I didn't like Snape at all, but here and there he had his moments were you had to wonder if he wasn't just bitter and lonely. I was shocked at all that I found out about Snape.

2. I would probably have to say Sirius. He could have had a huge impact on the series if he had stuck around.

3. I think that it definitely closed the series but at the same time it left an option for Rowling to come back and follow others into a new series that could be just as exciting.

4. I was very upset to find out that not only are the splitting the last book into two movies but that the release dates are almost a year apart! That was very disappointing news to me.

5. Destroy it so that no others could be lured by its powers.

6. I was shocked that as the series grew it seemed to me that the age group it was targeting grew as well. The first was definitely aimed more at the younger kids but as time went by it started to introduce romance and things that older kids would be into. I think that it may have been to an advantage, as the audience grew the books did to.

7. I think that Emma Watson is a wonderful actress and does the role justice but Hermione wasn't really wasn't supposed to ever be all that pretty until the Yuletide Ball, Emma is just too cute for the role, even from the beginning. But she is an amazing actress.

8. Rupert Grint is Ron Weasly whether he likes it or not. That kid was born to play Ron, and I would say the twins were a great casting decision as well. They play the role to a "T"!

9. I wish that there was more quidditch in the movies. That adds so much to the House competition and rivalry and where the tension is let out. I thought that Quidditch was a huge part of the series.

10. Why stop now?

1.) Before Book 7, I seriously thought he was a bad guy. I was surprised to find that he and Dumbledore had planned Dumbledore's death.

2.) I would bring Snape, Fred Weasley, Sirius Black, Dumbledore, and poor Moaning Myrtle.

3.) The epilogue is a bit predictable and cliche, but I thought it was sweet.

4.) I think it makes sense. There's too much in the book to make a movie.

5.) I think he should have done what he did.

6.) Snape being good surprised me the most, and the fact that he was once friends with Lily.

7.) I think Emma Watson was miscast as Hermione, and I HATE the new Dumbledore.

8.) I think that Luna Lovegood and Ron Weasley were best cast.

9.) I wish that they'd left the potions bit in the dungeons in the first movie, The Sorcerer's Stone, and I wish that they'd left Winky and Dobby in the fourth movie. They also NEVER mention veela in the fourth one, Fleur's just an ordinary pretty girl, but she's supposed to be surreal, because she's part veela.

10.) If I could ask JKR one question, it would be, "Who is YOUR favorite character? Who has that really special place in your heart?"

1. Be honest: What did you think of Snape the whole series, maybe your opinion changed with each book, but before book 7? Were you surprised at what you learned about him?

I was very shocked. I never really liked Snape. I always thought he was a "good guy", just not someone I'd like to hang out with. Then at the end of Book 6, I didn't think there was ANY way Rowling could make me believe he wasn't evil. As soon as I read Book 7, about his 'revelation', I was like "Curses, Rowling! You're amazing and now I have to like him again."

2. If you could bring back one character from the dead, who would it be?

FRED FRED FRED. It just breaks my heart to know that George is alone. I mean, they've NEVER been apart. It was sad.

3. What did you think of the epilogue?

It was a little cheesy. I liked them introducing everyone's kids and all, but I just wish there was more about the characters we already know and love. We learned Neville's a professor and a few things, but it left me hanging. And come on... "Albus Severus"? Poor kid. And is James's middle name "Sirius"? Otherwise, Sirius is rolling over in his grave knowing that Harry named a kid after Snape and not him.

4. What do you think of the fact that they're splitting the last movie in two?

Awesome. Rowling really complicated the plot by throwing the Deathly Hallows stuff in and trying to cram it all in one film would ruin it. That's personally why I hated the Goblet of Fire movie... the plot was too twisty to be translated well in such a short movie.

5. What do you think Harry should have done with the Resurrection Stone? Elder Wand?

Exactly what he did with them... wait, what DID he do with the Resurrection Stone? Was it destroyed? If not, I think he should use it to chat with his parents/Sirius/Lupin/everyone. Why not?

6. What surprised you most in the series?

Snape being in love with Harry's mom. Never saw that one coming.

7. Who do you think was miscast in the movies?

No one that I can think of, but I do think the part of Hermione wasn't written well. I think the actress is great, but I don't think the writers really made her part like Hermione. She doesn't seem bookish enough.

8. Who do you think they did the best job casting?

Rupert Grint as Ron. He's perfect. His mannerisms and facial expressions make for a great Ron Weasley.

9. Which specific parts do you wish were put in the movies?

There is so much I wish was different about Goblet of Fire... I wish they had included all the obstacles in the hedge maze instead of just making it a creepy bunch of living bushes or whatever.

10. If you could ask JKR one question, what would it be?

"When is this encyclopedia coming out? And make sure to include every detail about every character that you can!"

1.) I never really liked Snape until the very end of book 7. He always reminded me of a bully and I can't stand bullies. But like Harry I realized that Snape wasn't a complete jerk, he was just flawed like everyone else. Kind of like Harry's father.

2.) Honestly I don't think I would bring back any of the characters. I was hard to watch the die but I think it made the story richer as a result. But if I had to choose one, it would be Dobby.

3.) I liked that she showed what happened to the trio, but it'd still be nice to see more books even though I know there won't be any.

4.) I'm actually glad they're splitting the last movie into 2. I wish they had done it earlier in series like they had talked about because then they wouldn't have had to cut so much out.

5.) I think he made the right choice with both.

6.) That Harry was a Horcrux.

7.) Dumbledore's replacement. Richard Harris did such a better job, it sucks that he passed away.

8.) don't know

9.) I really wish they had left Winky and Dobby in the movies. Especially the 3rd one because part of the point of the gilly weed was that if Harry had asked Neville he would have had the answer all along, but Harry never even thought to ask him.

10.) I don't honestly know. I guess it would be if here plot changed as she wrote the books and their popularity increased or did it stay basically the same from when she first thought of the series.

1) I thought snape was rude and cold hearted. (cold hearted snape)

2) I would bring back Sirius.

3) I think the epilogue fits.

4) THEY'RE WHAT?!?

5) I think Harry should have brought back Sirius with the Resurrection stone. can't say anything about the Elder Wand.

6)What surprised me the most in the series was that Malfoy was the owner of the Elder Wand.

7) Moaning Mertle was miscast to me.

8) I think the Weasley Twins were cast the best.

9) Nearly-Headless Nick's death day party.

10) I would ask what inspired her to write the series.

1. I LOVED Snape throughout the whole series. Snape, Ron, Fred & George were my favorite characters. I always KNEW Snape was one of the good guys.

2. Sirius Black.

3. I thought the eqilogue was TOO SHORT. What happened to the Dursleys? Did Harry ever see them again? And the Weasleys?

4. Splitting the last book into two movies is a GREAT IDEA. They left out a lot in the earlier movies (like Peeves, Sir Nick's Deathday Party, Harry's singing troll Valentine from Ginny)

5. I think Harry did the right thing

6. What surprised me most in the series? How STUPID Voldemort was...he was supposed to be a great wizard, but he wasted a lot of time and energy trying to defeat Harry.

7. David Thewlis as Professor Lupin...he didn't look anything like I imagined...though he gave a really great performance.

8. Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley...he was perfectly cast.

9. From Book Two (Chamber of Secrets) the troll singing a Valentine's song to Harry from Ginny.

10. Why did Fred have to die in Book 7?
2008-04-18 12:12:23 UTC
1. I thought he was really cruel. But in the end, he was actually good, right?

2. Fred!!!!

3. I loved it!

4. I like this because i think the producers should always include everything from the story. The movie wouldn't live up to the book at all if it was just one two hour movie.

5. Nothing.

6. Erm...i think i was actually a little surprised that Snape was good.

7. Michael Gambon - i don't think he's good for Dumbledore's role. Dumbledore's supposed to be very calm and gentle, and I don't think Gambon played it very well

8. Luna Lovegood and Umbridge!

9. the part where Harry and Cho have a date in the Madam Puddifoot's teashop!

10. i'm not really sure!

1. Be honest: What did you think of Snape the whole series, maybe your opinion changed with each book, but before book 7? Were you surprised at what you learned about him?

Well the first book I loathed him, what a creep he was nasty and through the first three books I still thought he was a creep. after GOF when he avoided Igor I thought "hmm that's fishy, why would he avoid the fellow death eater?".

then in OoTP I thought "ha! I knew he had some good inside those black hair curtains", but in HBP especially after he killed dumbledore, I loathed him more !!. but he was shockingly brave in DH and that's when I started to respect the man!

2. If you could bring back one character from the dead, who would it be?

Dumbledore, or Fred but manly through DH I wanted and wished for Dumbledore to come back.

3. What did you think of the epilogue?

to tell you the truth, I liked it but it left me with some questions !

4. What do you think of the fact that they're splitting the last

movie in two?

YAY, I was so glad I thought "finally, some justice to the books!"

5. What do you think Harry should have done with the Resurrection Stone? Elder Wand?

I agree with what he did with the Elder wand, I think that it should be with Dumbledore. as for the stone well it didn't matter to me much !

6. What surprised you most in the series?

as in characters ? Snape and Neville !!!

7. Who do you think was miscast in the movies?

I think Neville (tom) he doesn't seem like the discribed character, and he new Dumbledore! (micheal gambon) is not so Dumbledore-ish, he makes Dumbledore seem more unwise.

8. Who do you think they did the best job casting?

Harry (Dan) and Snape (Alan).

9. Which specific parts do you wish were put in the movies?

the sphinx in GOF !! and loads of others, like Quidditch in OoTP.

10. If you could ask JKR one question, what would it be?

When will your encyclopedia be out ? or Are you going to write anyother Harry Potter related books ?

^_^ nice questions
