Why do centaurs not help humans?

They don't like to interfere with what is supposed to happen/what they predict will happen.

How did Firenze know about the Philosophers stone at hogwarts?

Hagrid probably let slip or maybe he found out from his star-gazing.

Hi, here are some questions for you! Try and be accurate if you can =)

They're in no particular order [book order]

What happens as soon as unicorn blood touches a persons lips? The drinker becomes immortal but has a cursed/half life

what do Fred and George leave at Hogwarts which no teacher is in a hurry to clean? [book 5]

They leave a swamp which Flitwick doesn't want to clean because he thought it was a good piece of magic

who said Harry would be a good auror?

Barty Crouch Junior (disguised as Mad Eye Moody)

The stairs turn into a slide so noone can walk up them.

This is because the founders believed girls were more trustworthy than boys

He claimed he saw himself holding a pair of thick woolen socks, but we later are led to believe that he sees his family

How did Firenze know about the Philosophers stone at hogwarts?

He read it in the stars

1) unicorn blood - they are cursed

2) Dobby's socks - I think they were "Christmas socks" from Mrs. Weasley? It might be they were Quidditch team socks...

3) see above

4) Gred & Forge leave the mini-swamp

5) I just read this - essence of murtlap

6) other characters - someone else got detention, but I can't remember who

7) auror - Bart Jr.

8) identities - don't remember

9) dorm - not certain, Ron gets hurt when trying to climb the stairs to the girls' dorm - the steps, if I recall correctly, turn into a slippery slide and he slides back down to the common room. I don't recall any account of any boy actually entering the girls' dorm

10) Erised - saw socks (warm, fuzzy woolen socks, I think)

11) Hermy - she would have seen herself graduating with the top scores ever seen at Hogwarts

12) Centaurs - they are militantly philosophers. Like "the Watcher" from the Fantastic Four comic books, it is the custom of their culture to observe, but not to interfere, in the unfolding of the events that have been foretold in the stars. They actually feel that it is wrong for them to meddle in the affairs of other races. There is a further consideration, and that is that humans think of them as beasts of burden (at least, this is what the centaurs believe).

13) Firenze & the stone - probably Hagrid let it slip to him as well as to HP & friends

14) Voldy & love - who says that he couldn't? To answer the question, though, I suspect that Voldy was concerned about 1 thing - avoiding death - and that he looked on others as nothing more than things that could be used to either further or hinder his own ambitions. Judging, particularly, by what he did to his fellow orphans in the cave, I think that he simply did not value people as worthy of life, but rather he looked on them as objects.
