In the book The Lovely Bones, how does Susie Salmon die?

For all the Lovely Bones fans like me i am very curious on how susie salmon dies.. i know she was raped then murdered but not sure if it is true..? like in the trailer it had her running through Mr. Harveys cornfield on fire.... verrry verrry confused

I've just watched the trailer and I can't see the bit with Susie on fire. Are you sure you aren't misinterpreting what you see? She definitely dies at the hands of George Harvey, and isn't ever set on fire. Watch the trailer again, maybe you'll see your mistake. Hope this helps!

I just watched the movie. They didn't do the rape part, cuz I don't think It would be something people would want to see. They slightly did the whole chopping into peices, cuz he put her body in a sack and stuffed it in a safe. Ps. I think the ending was suppose to be ironic or so I think cuz he died off a cliff and in between some rock where no one would find him. Like he tryed to do to his victims

I READ THE BOOK!! IT WAS SOO FREAKING SAD!! I SERIOSULY HAT MR.HARVEY WITH A BURING PASSION! i think it was also sad how he raped innocent girls and women. and poor susie :'( man... and i loved the part where susie when into the body of ruth and had sex with ray! i though it was amaZing! i also hated how no one believed the dad and susie's sister. and how the mom just left them like that and whent off with the detective like wtf. and especially i hated it when mr.harvey trie to get at another girl and luckily he didnt, but waht pissed me off is that he died and no one got him!!!! i wanted that guy to suffer!!!!

Yeah, she is raped and murdered. I don't think the movie touches on the fact that she was raped so they might have changed stuff.

in the book she gets raped and cut up into pieces. the movie probably changed stuff though.... i hated when they do that!!



well anyways i guess we will just have to wait and see what else they changed in the movie!
