Last year I read a book called "Anna" by someone called "David Reed".
The book was about a woman with schizophrenia and it was a very good book, and I just searched the author but I can't find any more books by him. I understand that David Reed is not the author's real name...so does anybody know if this person has written any more books, or was it a one off?

I don't think anyone actually knows who wrote the book so you prob won't find out. This site has a few discussions where other people have tried to find out who he is...

This quote in particular..."Written in a combination of narrative prose and sentence-fragment journal style (which I found very choppy indeed) this is “David’s” story of his life with “Anna”. David Reed, not his real name, was apparently a published author in England at the time he wrote this book in 1976. For a time I thought maybe these characters might actually be Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath disguised, but then realized it couldn’t be. Still, I was curious about why the need to protect their identities in this way, so I decided to try to find out more about them on the internet. Since 30 years had past since Anna’s death, I thought perhaps now there would be more revelations available -- but I couldn’t find any. So either the children are still being protected from this truth, or Anna and David were really rather unremarkable otherwise."

I'm currently reading "Henry's Demons" by Patrick and Henry Cockburn which is a biography about a Henry's battle with schizophrenia. There is reference to this book by David Reed. Patrick mentions that David was the brother of his friend.
