I think something different happens in the Book version.

Yes, he hid the potion book. He hid it in the Unknownable Room where there were old cups, books and robes.

Harry hides Snape's book in the Room of Requirement; the only thing different was Ginny being with him and kissing him. In the book, Harry kisses her in the common room after a Quidditch match.

Yes, but in the book, he meets Prof. trelawney, who says that the Rm. of requirement had a hiding room..it's where she hides old gin/port/wine bottles. Harry decides to check it out...WITHOUT Ginny. In the book, he kisses her afer Gryfindor wins the Quidditch cup

In the book (I'm assuming you're talking about the Sectumsempra sequence) Harry hides it in the storage area of the Room of Requirement. There are a whole bunch of would-be-confiscated items in there and he stashes it among them.
