Recommend me a fantasy series of decent length, involving a magic school/academy/guild?

Preferably something not aimed at children, but young adult is fine (and probably where most of the suggestions would come from I imagine). The longer the better. Guy/girl growing in power and coming of age type story is good, I like some character growth. A bit of romance doesn't hurt but not required.
Doesn't have to match exactly as long as it's an enjoyable read.

I would recommend Ian Irvine's 'The View From the Mirror' Quartet. If you go to the link below, there is a sample of the audio books there.
He follows these four books with 'The Well Of Echoes' series which is set in the same world. Both series are full of magic and students of magic, war and heroes. Lots to get your teeth into i think. :{)
It does not stop there though! He has written 14 books in the whole Three Worlds series in which these books belong!

The Codex Alera series by Jim Butcher. The books may not be super long, depending on what you consider long, but there are 6 or 7 books, all have been released, and they are very well written.
Something you might also consider is his other series, The Dresden Files. The main character is older, aimed at slightly older than young adult, but as a young adult I've read them and enjoy them immensely. Very highly recommended.

I'm guessing something that's not Harry Potter? ;) I really love College of Magics and its sequel, by Caroline Stevermer. They're both very long books and they have a unique type of magic and very unique characters that feel like real people. The romance is very touching and has an unexpected progression.

Rothfuss- The Name of the Wind and it's sequel The Wise Man's Fear. There is going to be a third book too.
Theyre really really good and nice and long, depending on which edition you get theyre roughly about 900 pages.
